The British Cultural Centre (BCC), part of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), celebrated its Christmas Party on 12th December.
The annual event is a fun, get together for USST students, especially with end of term exams looming large; plus a chance for the BCC to thank all of its hardworking volunteers, who dedicate their time and energies to the BCC and our activities.

After a short speech by the BCC director, Rose Oliver, thanking everyone for all their efforts over the last year; Rebecca Payne, the BCC’s new Events Consultant, who took over from Christine Robertson in October, started the party off with a crafts activity, teaching everyone to make their own Xmas crackers!
With ‘Secret Santa’ games, (participants had to perform something to receive a gift), delicious homemade cakes from Rebecca and traditional tea and biscuits; and ending with a fun round of Christmas Carol singing, the party was great fun.
A rousing, “Twelve Days of Christmas” rounded the activity off nicely and was a fun way to bring this year’s Christmas celebrations to a close.

Thanks to everyone for all their hard work once again; we wish all our staff, students and volunteers, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year; we’re looking forward to more wonderful activities at the BCC in 2017!
