?BCC Student Summer’s Comment on Jenny Lo’s Talk at the BCC

It is my honor to write the article, thank you very much for giving me the chance to show my feelings about the speech.

Rose, thanks!!! Have a nice day!!

This was an amazing afternoon, because of the lecture “Business Entrepreneurship & starting an Int’l business in Shanghai”, given by Ms. Jenny Lo.

I keep thinking what kind of job do I need? What are the strengths I have? What should I do to give a good impression to my interviewer? And so on. I have been too worried about the future, and learned nothing about the market, which made me feel confused.

However, the lecture held today, was really helpful to me, and also made me think about things from the other side and even gave me some useful tips about how to make myself be better when seeking a position, or working.

Firstly, Jenny told us what her job is, and shared the things she had experienced, which was really interesting and inspiring. From what she said, I know that firstly, we should have our interests, which part do you like, which part you are not keen on. Secondly, we should be good at socializing, try to make friends with others, try to get some solid relationship with others, who might someday be helpful to you, but not to do that seemingly on purpose, just keep going naturally.?

Thirdly, you ‘d better have some good qualities like innovation, drive, being positive, good at team work, like sharing, hardworking …she said that if you have some highlights to make yourself get hired in a big company, you need to work with others and share ideas, you should have passion in your field, only through this way, can you find the job you are pleased with, and then get promoted.

There were so many things I learned today, and the most important thing I learned was the importance of getting on well with others, making friends with others and having a good relationship with them, which I always thought was useless and meaningless. Jenny also taught me how to start a conversation with someone you are not familiar with, and the ways to make you pass an interview easily, and the tips to make a professional resume; all of them are very interesting and impressive.?

In the end, I want to say that I feel so grateful to Jenny, Rose and the volunteers, you are so kind to plan this activity here and students can learn a lot from the speech. ?
