DDA Cooperates with World Economic Forum for Chinese Culture & Taiji Immersion

a
DDA were recently invited by the World Economic Forum in Switzerland to teach several sessions for the Global Leadership Fellows Institute’s Global Leadership Fellows Programme. The programme centres on exploring business development and how global markets can engage in China, and is a programme especially for young executives. The course in Shanghai was part of their exploration of traditional Chinese culture and business development in China, and understanding life, as well as commerce.
Part of the course focused on understanding traditional Chinese culture and philosophy, and China’s social fabric; DDA were invited to facilitate sessions that introduced the underlying philosophical precepts that underpin Chinese society and culture; plus introduce the Fellows (young executives on the EMBA programme) to the health and wellness philosophy of traditional Chinese arts like Taiji and Qigong, in addition to how these interweave with both business and general life.
It was a great experience with the Fellows; they were all very keen to learn and experience traditional Chinese culture, philosophy and the holistic approach to health and wellness through Taiji, and were a wonderfully enthusiastic group. DDA were honoured to be included in the programme.
The final DDA session was also a fun competition, involving the Fellows in performing the short “Grasp the bird’s Tail” sequence from the Yang Style Taiji form they had been learning with Rose and Master Wang Ming Bo over the course of the week. The winning team were presented with a DDA Taiji uniform and DVD of the Taiji form!

Well done to all the Fellows on the Global Leadership Fellows Programme for successfully completing their ‘Taiji crash course & exam’ with DDA. A great group of people and as befits successful executives, passionate about winning the competition! It was a pleasure to work with everyone!
And a big thank you to GLF Institute for the opportunity to be a part of such a meaningful and enthusiastic programme!
