Come and share Rose and Bubba’s enthusiasm for all things Taiji, at our first Greensboro workshop!
The workshop’s morning session will feature instruction in Qigong and foundation exercises; the afternoon session will be dedicated to push hands instruction, particularly the 13 push hands patterns.
Rose will also offer instruction on Taiji form and energy work, including tips on applications, energy & intention usage, as well as exercises for cultivating internal energy, plus root, waist & limb integration.
Private lessons and Tuina massage training with Master Rose are also available.

Master Rose began training in Taiji Quan in 1993 in Great Britain, learning Yang Style Taiji Quan from her first teacher and husband, Sifu Rey Nelson. Together they ran “The Eastern Tai Chi and Internal Arts Research Association” in the UK, which included Taiji Quan, Qi Gong, Daoism, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tuina, I-Ching and other philosophies.
Master Rose began training in Taiji Quan in 1993 in Great Britain, learning Yang Style Taiji Quan from her first teacher and husband, Sifu Rey Nelson. Together they ran “The Eastern Tai Chi and Internal Arts Research Association” in the UK, which included Taiji Quan, Qi Gong, Daoism, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tuina, I-Ching and other philosophies.
Master Rose has studied Wu Style Taiji with Grandmaster Wang Hao Da, a senior student of the late Grandmaster Ma Yue Liang; and Yang Style Taiji with Grandmaster Dong Bin, both from Shanghai, as well as Yang Style with Grandmaster Yang Zhen Duo, of the Yang Family; plus Tong Bei system’s Taizu Quan from Master Wu Mao Gui of Shanghai.
Her primary focus is Yang Style Taiji, with its focus on large, expansive movements and the cultivation of energy in playing the form; and Tong Bei, with its focus on “fajing” or explosive power.

In 2005 she founded the Double Dragon Alliance (DDA) (www.doubledragonalliance.com), based in Shanghai, to sponsor skilled teachers and foster cultural exchange. The DDA centre runs weekly Taiji classes, and an annual martial arts training camp and Chinese culture immersion course in Shanghai. In 2011, she was awarded an M.B.E. (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth II for her work in developing and furthering Sino-British relations and for fostering inter-cultural exchange, communication and friendship, and was awarded the Magnolia Award in 2013 by the Shanghai Municipal Government, in recognition for her contributions to Shanghai and its citizens.
