Feng Shui Lecture in Cooperation with East China Normal University

DDA were recently invited by East China Normal University’s “Global Education Centre”, to cooperate with them in organizing a Feng Shui lecture for a party of visiting Korean Business delegates, as part of the University’s summer learning programmes.

The party of guests, mainly CEO’s and other top level business managers from Korea, were in Shanghai on a three-day visit arranged by the “CEO Academy”, also a Korean venture, which had contacted East China Normal University to provide the guests with a 2-day lecture programme, on a variety of subjects related to Chinese culture.

DDA in cooperation with Hong Yue Cultural Exchange Centre, invited Professor Luo Jian Ping, an extremely qualified and high calibre Feng Shui, Ba Zi (Chinese Horoscope and Astrology) and Linguistics professor, to deliver the lecture.
Professor Luo is a graduate of Shanghai’s famous Fu Dan University and regularly gives lectures and workshops at some of the most prestigious universities and learning institutions both in China and abroad.

The two hour lecture covered some of the background history of Feng Shui, including its relation to other aspects of Chinese culture, like Ba Zi (Chinese Horoscope); and the impact of incorrect Feng Shui on business, a company’s or home’s location; plus Feng Shui’s influence within the home and on people’s health.

Professor Luo delivered a fascinating talk on the correlations between certain Chinese characters and Feng Shui’s origins, as well as giving details about some particular case histories identifying various Feng Shui problems.

Professor Luo also answered many questions from the Korean delegates, assisted by their interpreter from CEO Academy, particularly in relation to business matters and future prosperity.

Following the lecture, everyone went to lunch together, where many members of the the group came to consult Professor Luo individually.

All in all, it was a very successful start to DDA’s cooperation with East China Normal University and we hope to have many more opportunities in the future.
