Ms. Lan Lo, a friend and colleague of DDA member from the UK and Shanghai Camp participant,?Mr. Tony Gleadell,?visited
Shanghai and other parts of China to conclude her PHD research on?the “Integration of Migrant Workers in Society”.
?
Lan, who is on sabbatical from the UK’s Nottingham University, visited our DDA beginner’s Taiji
class on Wednesday evenings, at Yu Hang Tower.
?
A student of Tony’s in the UK, Lan teaches Mandarin Chinese in the university, as well as being
involved in charitable and social events.
After the class, we took a group photo, before Lan set off for her trip to Beijing to meet with
several NGOs, before heading back to the UK.
It was lovely to meet a fellow Taiji enthusiast and someone so keen to benefit members of the
community in her native China.
Thanks to Tony for introducing us, it was a pleasure to meet Lan and share information about
cultural and social issues.
Good luck to her in her research and we look forward to catching up with both Lan and Tony
in the UK in the summer. ?
