?June 10th & 11th saw the Symposium & Opening Ceremony and Zendai Cultural Forum at the Himalayas?Museum in Huamu Road, Pudong.?

The opening included performances by many renowned Shanghai artists and also featured speakers on
Chinese architecture, way of living and traditional art versus originality of form.

?Organized by the Shanghai Himalayas Museum, International Center for Critical Thinking (ICCT) New York,
Peking University, Tokyo University & East China University, the event was attended by several hundred
participants and guests, as well as the exhibitors themselves.

?Among the exhibitors was Professor Li Ding of the Shanghai Yi Jing Association, who had a fascinating
exhibit featuring the Yi Jing and his own, patented “China Cube”.

Based on his own extensive and long-term research into the Yi Jing, Professor Li has designed a model to
facilitate the understanding of this ancient philosophy and guiding wisdom to a new generation of scholars
and researchers.

The interactive model and computer-generated images were fascinating and we can thoroughly recommend
a visit to the museum, both for its wonderful artwork and sculptures and to see Professor Li’s Yi Jing exhibit
in particular!
