3rd “Sweden Taiji Retreat & Sightseeing Tour” August 2017

Double Dragon Alliance welcomes you to our third “Sweden Retreat” in the scenic town of Helsingborg.

Join us as we enjoy Sweden’s simple, natural lifestyle, scenic surroundings, fun experiences with a multicultural group of guests and local residents, all while improving health and wellbeing at our Taiji workshop!
Sample traditional Swedish culture; hospitality from our Swedish hosts and friends; train with DDA and guest teachers, including Master Marion Telford; experience local arts, culture and healthy living, Swedish-style; and deepen your understanding of Yang Style Taiji Quan, Qigong, Tong Bei Quan, Push Hands, TCM Tuina, Meditation, healthy life practices like traditional bread making, Feng Shui and Calligraphy, among others.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1. Friday 4 August: Arrivals
Collection from the airport and transport to the hotel; time to relax and settle in, before our orientation meeting and dinner. (For guests arriving late evening, complimentary snacks will be provided)
Day 2. Saturday 5 August:
Sightseeing around the local town of Helsingborg, and welcome dinner with all teachers, homestay hosts and guests.
In the evening, we will have a fun, interactive TCM Tuina class with local Swedish guests, participants will really have an opportunity to get to know each other!
Day 3. Sunday 6 August:
Morning training with DDA and Master Marianne Telford.
In the afternoon Sven Eriksson will lead participants in an introduction to bread making – and enjoy natural living instruction with Sven & Emma; plus evening training in Taiji and Qigong!
Day 4. Monday 7 August:
After morning practice, we will visit local scenic spots, including old fishing villages, and churches. Evening training in Taiji, Tuina and Qigong!
Day 5. Tuesday 8 August:
After breakfast, we will travel to Denmark and visit ‘Hamlet’s castle’, for a personal guided tour inside the castle and grounds, later enjoying lunch in Denmark in the town of Helsing?r, returning to Sweden on the ferry cruiser, and dinner at our hotel.
Day 6. Wednesday 9 August:
After morning training, a trip to one of the area’s natural lakeside forests for some tips on natural living and trekking from Emma. Guests will cook lunch together, with two teams competing for the title of “Best-Tasting Barbecue!”
Day 7. Thursday 10 August:
Enjoy a day’s sailing on our own yacht, with lunch on board.
Return to the hotel for a relaxing evening, and dinner in the hotel.
Day 8. Friday 11 August:
After morning training, there’ll be some free time shopping and sightseeing; later in the afternoon, Swedish homestay hosts will collect our overseas visitors. Local families will arrange activities and trips on Friday, and after the workshop on Saturday.
Day 9 & 10. Saturday-Sunday 12-13 August:
Guests will take part in an interactive taiji & tuina workshop with DDA, Sweden’s Master Marianne Telford, and guest Qigong teachers; closing on Sunday afternoon with demonstrations and performances by guests and participants. DDA guests will return to the hotel on Sunday evening.
Day 11. Monday 14 August:
Time permitting, there will be early morning training; followed by check-out, departures and goodbyes.
Airport shuttles will take guests to Copenhagen airport.
SEMINAR COSTS
Camp fee: US$3050. This includes all training, accommodation, meals, transportation, airport shuttle and trips for the 11 days.
Please note: The free time shopping activity lunch on Friday 11 August will not form part of the camp costs and guests are responsible for their own meals or snacks.
We will arrange a special shuttle collection to and from Copenhagen International airport, for guests arriving 4th August and returning on 14th August.
Participants should purchase their own Schengen visas and airplane tickets to and from Copenhagen airport.
For guests arriving outside of the airport collection time schedule, please add an additional $100 to the total cost.
A non-refundable deposit of US$500 is payable by 15th March 2017.

Cancellations before 1st April 2017 will receive a refund of all funds, minus their deposit.
Cancellations after 20th May 2017 will receive a refund of 60% of their funds, minus their deposit. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the event is cancelled, participants will receive a full refund of any and all camp fees paid.

Rose will assist Chinese nationals with the visa process, please contact Rose for any further assistance or information about your visa application.
You should overestimate your stay in Sweden by an additional 2-4 weeks; so make sure you have at least six months left on your passport.
Weather in Sweden at this time of year can be a little cool, especially by the coast, so it’s best to bring some warm clothes, and/or a windbreaker and an extra pair of shoes in case of rain.
Accommodation is based on two people sharing a standard twin room. Participants should indicate on their registration form, with whom they wish to share; otherwise DDA reserves the right to allocate guests for shared accommodation.
Include an additional $400 single room supplement if you require a private room at this year’s upgraded hotel accommodation!
