The marvellous array of both traditional and modern works, mixing traditional Chinese subjects and contemporary western themes blended seamlessly together to make a fascinating exhibition of artistry.
Featured were several life-size, large scale “sculptures”, including that of a huge dragon boat, complete with miniature model figures representing a mix of crew members from wine carriers to serving girls; a larger-than-life-size model of Chairman Mao and a character from Chinese history – Ji Gong, in a variety of poses and settings, among others.

The intricate nine-dragon carvings and murals were exquisitely detailed, as were the western-style nude, sylph-like maiden statuettes and animal characters.
