DDA’s Rose Oliver, Wang Ming Bo and Gong Wen Hua were recently invited to take part in the “Tang Qiao Bei” Grand Exhibition of Selected Paintings of Chinese, Italian and International Artists in Shanghai, plus the 2010 International Financial and Innovation Art Forum, which was held in conjunction with Pudong New Area’s municipal government.

The event was being run as part of the Shanghai Expo’s continuing cultural exchange programmes and was co-sponsored by the Italian Consulate and Expo Pavilion and Pudong New Area’s government office.???

The opening ceremony, where the Italian Consulate’s official representative and the Pudong municipal government representative officer exchanged gifts and pleasantries, was followed by a tour of the art exhibition of a wide variety of both modern and traditional paintings by a variety of international and Chinese artists, making for a spectacular display of imaginative and diverse, artistic culture.

Following the banquet lunch, the forum met to discuss ways to further promote art and innovation in Pudong new area’s region and keep the momentum of the joint venture and international cooperation initiated by the 2010 Shanghai Expo.
