Ms Michelle Sans, Director of the Fudan Program for “The Alliance for Global Education”, a partnership of ‘Arcadia University College of Global Studies’ and ‘Butler University’s Institute for Study Abroad’, recently arranged for DDA to organize an introduction to TCM and interactive Tuina learning session for their US students here in Shanghai who are taking part in the Fudan Programme for Chinese learning.

??

The students, all in their early to mid-twenties, are here in Shanghai for three months taking part in Chinese language classes and economic and business courses.

??

The programme also arranges for trips around China and other cultural immersion experiences to boost the students’ knowledge and understanding of Chinese society and culture.

??

The TCM event was held at Dr Li Yong’s Conjoint Health Advisory Centre on Cao Yang Road, with Dr Li introducing some aspects of TCM’s meridian system and diagnostic therapy, as well as teaching the students how to apply the massage techniques on each other, so that they can continue to benefit from TCM’s health system in the future.

The workshop was translated by DDA’s Rose Oliver and assisted by Mr. Wang Ming Bo, Tiffany Tang and Tiffany Wang from Shanghai University.

To organize a similar tailor-made activity, please contact Rose Oliver for details.
