?DDA were once again invited to perform at the Cao Yang Community Centre’s Spring Festival Annual Meeting & Performance Celebrations.??
?
The annual event, held to close the community centre’s activities before the Chinese New Year festivities, is an opportunity for the teachers, students and volunteers who regularly host and assist at the centre’s events to get together, be presented with prizes for their contributions and stage fun performances for the audience from the local community.
DDA runs a free weekly taiji class at the centre and were invited to perform our Yang Style Taiji form at the event.
DDA’s Rose Oliver & Wang Ming Bo demonstrated 13 pattern push hands, while DDA students played the 1st section of the form, followed by a performance of Xing-Yi San He Broadsword by Rose.
The event was great fun, featuring local choral community groups, Mongolian dance groups & some very enthusiastic Chinese drummers, among others.
DDA looks forward to more classes and events at the Cao Yang Community Centre next year, and wishes everyone a wonderful start to the New Year of the Sheep!
