??DDA were invited by Mr. Zhang Rong Sheng, from the Entry & Exit Bureau to perform at the Shanghai Retired Soldiers Federation annual meeting and Spring Festival celebrations.
The annual event aims to gather old friends & comrades together, to reminisce, share the latest news, commemorate each other’s achievements, and look to the future in the coming New Year.?
DDA’s Rose Oliver, Wang Ming Bo, disciples and students performed their 81-step Yang Style Taiji form first section, followed by Rose, Wang Ming Bo, plus two of their disciples Luo Ji Feng and Fan Xing Dong performing Tai Zu Quan from the Tongbei system.
The morning’s performances also featured a stunning virtuoso performance on the Chinese harp by a young 10 year-old lady, which drew great applause from the enthusiastic audience of 100 or so members.
Thank you to Mr. Zhang for inviting us to spend the morning with many old soldiers, veterans and civil servants, it was an honour to be a part of the event.
