The British Embassy recently organized a special event in Shanghai to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday, at Shanghai’s international Continental Hotel in Ruijin Rd.
The event was attended by a mixture of British, international expats and Chinese guests, and was a mixture of fun performances by local international schools, with a performance of ‘Alice in Wonderland’, plus an attempt to break the Guinness Book of Records for the largest ‘Cream Tea’ event ever held.
With nearly 800 guests devouring some delicious cream teas, the record was well and truly broken!
It was a wonderful event to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday, and a chance to establish friendship and cultural exchange among international and local residents, and business enterprises in Shanghai.
