DDA & Drishti Yoga Centre recently held their second ‘Clothing Rummage & Exchange’ event, at the Drishti Yoga Centre at 30 Tian Shan Rd.
The concept is for everyone (although it’s usually mostly ladies!) to clear out their closets of all those unwanted and unworn items to donate or exchange them with those brought by other participants.
All leftover clothing was later donated to “Fei Ma Yi” local charity, which is based in Shanghai’s Putuo District, and regularly collects and distributes clothing to underprivileged children and families in western regions of China and to those in countries suffering disasters, like Nepal and parts of Africa ravaged by war.
Thanks to all the ladies for bringing such great selections to the event; lots of happy ‘customers’ finding some fantastic new outfits, although I think I need to go on a diet, I couldn’t fit into most of the great fashions donated!
