?DDA recently held a talk on feng shui and contemporary living with Dr. Sabine Kullak of the Raymond Lo School of Feng Shui & Destiny, and interior designer Joe Samaga.
?Sabine and Joe discussed their work harmonizing feng shui principles with modern living and interior design, in particular how they include them in contemporary office and home design solutions, boosting positive dynamisms and counteracting negative energies, creating practical and beneficial elements for home and office.
Sabine began studying feng shui and bazi in Europe in 2007. After moving to China in 2010, Sabine continued her education in feng shui, bazi and the yi jing, graduating from the Raymond Lo School of Feng Shui and Destiny.?
Sabine is also educated in ‘Work and Environmental Psychology’, bridging the gap between Western and Eastern life sciences, using ancient Chinese techniques to solve modern life’s problems.
Together, Joe and Sabine presented a case study of a Hong Kong client’s interior design options and the feng shui recommendations under consideration, emphasizing how colours, materials and furniture options all play a part in optimizing the interplays of the five elements and the client’s birth chart analysis.
Rachel Rui from the BCC and Caliper Consulting Co. Ltd. interpreted for DDA’s Chinese guests, and the international group had many questions for Sabine and Joe.
It was a wonderful talk and everyone was impressed by both Sabine and Joe’s passion for their subjects.
We hope to invite them both back for a follow up talk after the summer.
