Feng Shui Workshop in Cooperation with East China Normal University’s “Korean CEO Shanghai Cultural Exchange Visit”

?East China Normal University again invited DDA to cooperate with them in providing a Feng Shui lecture for their annual “Korean CEO Shanghai Cultural Exchange Visit”, run in conjunction with the “Korean Arts and Culture Academy for CEO’s”.

This year, DDA invited Mr Shi Chang Jun of the Chinese Yi Jing Research Association, a well-renowned specialist in Feng Shui and Yi Jing to deliver the workshop on Feng Shui for the home, business, company location and health.

The party of guests had spent 3 days in Shanghai attending workshops on a variety of aspects related to Chinese culture, from Peking Opera to TCM, but had special interest in the Feng Shui lecture, as this ancient philosophy is very popular in Korea and enjoys a large following in the white collar sector.

Mr Shi’s lecture also touched on the relationship between Yi Jing philosophy, Bazi (Chinese horoscope and astrology) and Feng Shui.

To understand how to modify someone’s home or office etc, in accordance with Feng Shui principles, the “Feng Shui Master” must first understand the person’s horoscope (Bazi) and background, so as to adjust their home and lifestyle specifically according to their individual situation, otherwise any reading or adjustment will still not benefit them.

Master Shi also looked at each of the guests’ business cards, as he explained this can also tell a lot about a person’s life, fortune, business and commerce situation and general health and well-being.

His explanations and foretelling of each person’s current condition from their cards was extremely accurate and based on facts presented through the cards, which when analyzed made perfect sense and were helpful for changing one’s luck or life direction.

??

A business cards’ layout should still follow the ancient Chinese philosophy of “Tian – Di – Ren” or “Man exists between the heavens above and the earth below”; meaning that the company title should be above and the person’s name in the middle, with the company address below. This follows the natural order of things and so will allow the person to succeed, keep going onwards and upwards, supported by their strong root.

If the name is above the company title, then it signifies that the person has already reached the top and has nowhere else to go, with lots of pressure from below them pushing them to extremes.

This advice, among others, was greeted by much nodding and smiling, striking a strong chord of agreement among the guests.?

The lecture was fascinating and very well received by the Korean CEO’s especially in relation to the analysis of their business cards, and we hope that we’ll have the pleasure of cooperating with ECNU again next year, giving us another chance to catch up with old friends.

Thanks to Master Shi for his wonderful talk and to ECNU for inviting us to organize this year’s workshop.

DDA also hope to organize a lecture with Mr Shi for our members in the near future, details of the time and place to be notified soon.
