The “Brits Abroad” Expat Association asked DDA to organize a Taiji workshop for their members on 26th July 2010.??
Rose Oliver took the workshop of international guests, teaching some meditative techniques to help with relaxing the mind and body, introducing them to some of Taiji’s history and different family forms, as well as taking them through the first few moves of the Yang Style Taiji form.?

The event was held at Ban Dao’s Teahouse, part of the “1919 Cultural Centre” on Baoshan’s Song Xing Xi Rd.
The Teahouse staff made everyone very welcome and provided us with an authentic Chinese cultural backdrop to one of China’s traditional martial arts.
The one day workshop was very enjoyable and will be repeated in September, when we hope to start a regular Taiji class for the “Brits Abroad” members.
