DDA were contacted by Ms Veronique Lepeudry from France, to arrange a tailor-made TCM and Tuina interactive workshop for her family, whilst they were all in Shanghai for a short vacation.??
Dr Zhong Ying Yang, who graduated from the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital last year and who also, works at Professor Nan Huai Jin’s Learning Institution near Nanxun lecturing on TCM and sports; taught the workshop, delivering the lecture in English for the French guests.
?????
Assisted by Rose Oliver and Master Wang Ming Bo, Dr Zhong covered some of the primary principles of TCM theory, plus some of the causes of certain illnesses and those conditions within daily life, which are detrimental to our health according to TCM.
??
In addition, he introduced the family of 5; mother, father and three teenage sons, to the benefits of Moxibustion therapy and acupressure, before teaching them some simple Tuina massage techniques, which they were all able to practice on each other.
???
The family from France already practices Homeopathy and are great believers in natural healing techniques, as opposed to traditional western methods of invasive treatment and chemical medicine; so they were easily able to assimilate the information and found the workshop of great interest.
Veronique herself was also keen for her sons to know more about other cultures and especially the advantages of Chinese medicine and its health practices.?
???
The afternoon passed very enjoyably and everyone had a chance to practice the different techniques on each other, as well as ask questions on a variety of topics, including principles of TCM, treatment methods and ideology.
???
The Lepeudry family will also be participating in a calligraphy workshop provided by DDA in the near future.
???
Thanks again to Dr Zhong Ying Yang for a wonderful lecture and to his insightful and knowledgeable comments for maintaining good health.
