2009 Shanghai 2009 Camp Martial Arts Masters’ Exhibition (Nov. 21-29)
This is a unique opportunity to visit Shanghai and other scenic areas, study with some of the highest-level masters in China and experience traditional Chinese culture, friendship and hospitality firsthand.
This year, the 9-day workshop will be held in Shanghai and Nan Xun, a beautiful, ancient water town, still steeped in history and tradition.
As in previous years, the event will give participants a chance to sample the flavour of traditional Chinese food and culture, including Beijing Opera, Calligraphy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tuina massage, as well as train with some of Shanghai’s finest martial artists and health practitioners.
Classes will include Yang Style, Chen Style, Wu Style, Hao Style and Sun Style Taiji Quan, Qigong, Xing-Yi Quan, Ba Gua Zhang, Tong Bei Quan, Push Hands and San Shou, among others.
The emphasis will be on internal training, how to “use” your form and on enhancing one’s health and longevity, rather than on learning new forms.

This year, the 9-day workshop will be held in Shanghai and Nan Xun, a beautiful, ancient water town, still steeped in history and tradition.
There will also be classes in traditional Chinese health giving treatments, such as Tuina (acupressure massage) from a highly skilled TCM doctor.
Plus, during the 9 days, we will visit several cultural centres and galleries dedicated to traditional Chinese artwork, where guests can enjoy traditional Chinese tea ceremonies, see traditional handicrafts for themselves and meet some of the artists.
Due to the current economic situation, we have endeavoured to keep costs down to a minimum to enable fellow martial arts enthusiasts and lovers of Chinese culture to participate, so early booking is recommended, as there is a maximum of 25 participants at this year’s camp.
