Chicago News
Welcome to visit our fundraising ‘Team Page’ for the 23rd Annual “PAWS Chicago 5K Walk/Run for Their Lives” on 9th September 2023! We hope you will consider supporting our effort by joining our “Albany’s Fan Club 2023” team and/or donating today!
Sad Statistics
Every year in Chicago, nearly 9,000 cats and dogs are euthanized because they simply don’t have a place to call home. As people who love animals, we are committed to helping combat this sad statistic. That’s why we’ve decided once more to participate in and fundraise for PAWS Chicago’s ‘5K Walk/Run for Their Lives’ 2023.
PAWS Chicago
We’re huge fans of the work PAWS Chicago does helping homeless, abandoned, sick, and injured pups and kitties, (like sweet girl Albany, featured here and who we fostered for several months before she went to her forever home); as well as their community outreach supporting disadvantaged neighbourhoods with resources, enabling people to keep their pets rather than give them up; plus their ‘Trap and Release’ (TNR) programmes for feral cats in the community.
Fostering in Chi-Town
Albany, along with other pups we’ve fostered, like Hurricane Ian and heartworm survivor Jed, Don Pedro, Higgins, and our latest foster pup, 2-year-old heartworm sufferer Niagara, have brought such joy to our lives!
Seeing the work PAWS does to support animals like these, we have become inspired to do more to help raise awareness and funds for PAWS Chicago and its community outreach.
Looking forward
PAWS Chicago receives no government funding and relies solely on people like all of us to help provide continued care for Chicago’s homeless animals.
Thank you so much for your support! Anything you can do to help Chicago’s homeless and abandoned pets, like liking and sharing this post, to donating, is all a great assistance and most appreciated!
