DDA welcomes you to a talk on the hidden meaning behind Chinese names and the ways in which names are traditionally given to children to help boost, replenish or counteract positive and negative influences, and help balance a child’s “Eight Pillars” Birth Chart (Bazi 八字), which ultimately affect a person’s life, health, relationships and fortune.
Professor Luo Jian Ping (罗建平) is a lecturer at Jiao Tong, Fudan and East China University for Science & Technology, and has been researching Chinese culture, including Feng Shui, Bazi Birth Charting, Daoism and the origins of Chinese characters for many years and is the author of several books on the subjects.
Professor Luo will also offer detailed analysis of guests’ names and, in accordance with Feng Shui principles, proffer advice on the name layout on business cards, to help improve guests’ health and well-being.
