Master Shou Guan Shun inducted 17 new disciples at a ceremony held nearby Shanghai’s Long Hua Temple.
?The ceremony, which was conducted by Master Shou’s existing disciples and students, was attended by many of Shanghai’s elite martial arts masters and special VIP guests, some of whom also participated in a brief martial arts demonstration.
DDA’s Rose Oliver and Master Wang Ming Bo were also in attendance, performing the first section of the Yang Style Taiji form they learned from their teacher Grandmaster Dong Bin, executing the form in tandem.
Following the ceremony the guests decamped to a local restaurant for a banquet lunch and a chance to celebrate Master Shou’s 69th birthday, which also fell at the same time.
