Artist’s Biography: Renee Vickery

“The lotus pond has inspired many of my paintings such as “Blue and Purple Leaves with White Flower” and “Dropped Lotus Petal” above.”

Lo Ching-che has work in the British Museum, the Huntington Library and in the National Museum of Art, Taichung Taiwan. Renee said she feels very honoured that he has added his wonderful calligraphy to more than 40 of her Chinese brush paintings.

“Ren-ah” is Renee’s artist’s name, as Renee translates to this in Chinese. The Chinese name she has adopted is Autumn Moon and this can be found upon her latest paintings.

Her seal is Ren-ah and “Autumn Moon” is her signature on her paintings.

Her Chinese brush paintings hang on walls in Taiwan, the UK, Singapore and the USA.

Artist’s Biography:

Renee Margaret Vickery was born in the UK. She was introduced to art in her childhood and later attended a course in Art and Design at Chorley College, University of Lancaster. Following graduation, Renee taught in schools and was asked to become a CSE Art Assessor/Examiner.

Many years later, while living in Singapore, Renee was fortunate to study Chinese brush painting at the Nan Yang Academy of Fine Art. In 2008 she studied Calligraphy at Mingdao University, Chunghua County, Taiwan.

At present, Renee lives in Florida with her husband.
