BCC Business Professionals Lectures & Cultural Activities

Many thanks to Richard Wood from the Shanghai branch of Celemi Consulting Co Ltd, for his wonderful talk for our students at the British Cultural Centre (BCC).

This was Richard’s third visit to us at the BCC, his topic, ‘Finding Your Voice’, was perfect for our students just preparing to graduate and enter the workplace; with his background in psychology, Richard knows exactly how to help students recognize their own strengths and how best to use them!
Thanks again to Richard for his great talk for our ‘Business Professionals Lecture Series’!
Our last talk of the 2015-2016 academic season was from Jeff Lunz, Principal at Encade Group, on ‘How to be Successful: Building Desire and Motivation’.
Jeff, one of the BCC’s regular speakers, gave our USST students an inspirational talk at the end of the academic year, to send the participants away with confidence, motivated for their job search and new employment during the summer.
Jeff asked the students to identify where the desire to build on success comes from and guided them on how they could utilize it to help motivate themselves. After such?an insightful talk, how could our students not be motivated to be the best possible versions of themselves!
Thank you to Jeff and all our speakers for this academic year, including: Josie Chen of OK Deal! Club; Jeff Lunz of Encade Group; Richard Wood of Celemi; Marc Chen of the British Council; Ian Crawford of SBC; Jenny Lo of CatchOn Luxury Brands; James Burrow; Michael Olasope; Christine Hawkins; and Liz Hingley, among others, for their kindness and generosity in graciously sharing their valuable time and experience with our students; the insights offered into building a successful future to those just stepping onto the business ladder was a precious gift and one which we at the BCC are very grateful for.
We look forward to the new academic year, with more insightful and motivational talks by great speakers from the business and academic worlds.
