DDA’s Rose Oliver and her husband Collin recently hosted a delayed wedding reception to celebrate their wedding with their friends, DDA Taiji family, students and colleagues in Shanghai. The celebration also featured a traditional Chinese re-enactment of the groom taking the bride from her family home to the couple’s new “home”, plus a comic Peking Opera performance with the bride on her “horse” (represented by a special cane festooned in tassels that represents a horse in Peking Opera) and the groom with a long black beard! (Which kept coming off!)
