DDA organized their ‘Celebration of Culture & Community’ on 26th October 2019 at the Cao Yang Community Centre.
Held in connection with Shanghai Media Group’s (SMG’s) 2019 ‘15th Annual World Wushu Championships’, the event featured performances by some of Shanghai’s premier martial artists, including Masters Qu Shi Jing, Shou Guan Shun, Liu Hong Cai, Wang Sen Lin, Xue Hong En, Wu Jie, Shen Xing Zuo, Zhong Ming, Han Yu Ying, Liu Zu Ping, SHMA Medieval Weaponry Club, Shanghai Folk Martial Arts Exhibition Group, Wang Jiu Mei, and Chen Wei Qin and his Anting Group among others;
plus participants from local dance, sports and community groups, including from Cao Yang Community Centre, University of Shanghai for Science & Technology; wrapped by another wonderful closing performance of Kunqu Opera by regular guest Ms. Cao Hui and partner, alongside songs, music and DDA’s own club members and students!
Followed by a delicious banquet lunch; the occasion was another wonderful morning of art, culture, friendship, and fun; thank you to everyone who took part and many thanks to all our many DDA students, disciples and friends for their continued, enthusiastic and warm support! We look forward to our 15-year anniversary event in 2021!
