Gabe recently ran a second ‘Three Harmonies Broadsword’ workshop in conjunction with East Cloud Kungfu, in Raleigh, NC!
The second workshop was well attended by both Gabe’s and Shifu Imari Colon’s students, where Gabe taught the first section of the solo version of the San He Dao (Three Harmonies Broadsword or sabre) form she has learned at our DDA Shanghai Camps over the years.
Sabres were provided by East Cloud Kungfu, where Shifu Colon teaches a variety of Taiji and Wushu forms. Gabe’s old friend and student Lauren, who’s herself been learning the broadsword form for several years, acted as assistant coach for the event.
Looks like another great time was had by all! Great job coaching again Gabe and thanks of course to Shifu Imari and the East Cloud group for hosting!
And on a non-Taiji matter, Gabe recently took part in the Carolina Contemporary Composers, C3. “A Season of Song” event, with new compositions by local composers. The event was held at the Halle Cultural Arts Centre in Apex, North Carolina; check out the website to find out more about the event and to learn more about Gabe’s two featured tunes and her performers!
