Fundraising Goal
We’re excited to announce we surpassed our $250 fundraising goal by $70, raising a total of $320 for the PAWS Chicago PAWS 5K run/walk for their lives held on Saturday 7th September!
Our Inspiration to Participate
We take part in the PAWS 5K annual charity fundraising event every year to help pups and kitties in need, just like our most recent foster pup 14-year-old Chip. This sweet boy really went through it; from being surrendered by his family after 12 years of living with them because they were moving somewhere new, needing 12 teeth extracted and a mass removed from his face, he had a lot to deal with both physically and emotionally.
Dedicated Staff
This is where PAWS Chicago and their team of dedicated staff, vets, volunteers and fosters step in to help these sweet pups and kitties get the help and treatment they need, find them loving forever homes, and/or foster homes to help them continue their recovery, gain confidence, become “home-ready”, or just feel love again.
Chip’s Story
Chip’s sad story reminds us that pets grow old and infirm and may well need more care (and expense) to keep them living their best lives, but they are family and deserve that love and care to the very end. We feel privileged to know Chip and have even this short time to spoil him with plenty of TLC, companionship, fun, strokes, grooming and just plain old love. Chip is why we take part in the PAWS 5K, and for all those others that need care, PAWS Chicago and its dedicated team will always be there.

Though the PAWS 5K has now ended for this year, you are still welcome to donate to our fundraising page via the link up until the end of September, it is safe and secure, and all donations go directly to PAWS to help them in their work here in Chicago and beyond.
