PAWS Chicago Annual 5K Charity Run

PAWS 5K

DDA’s Rose Oliver reached her team’s fundraising goal just in the nick of time, helping them to finish the recent PAWS Chicago 5K Charity Walk in Chitown’s Montrose Harbour with a flourish!

Successful 5K participants, fosters and adopters get together!

Fundraising Goal

Rose’s team were delighted to take part in the PAWS Chicago 5K at Chicago’s Montrose Harbour on 9th September. And thanks to a couple of last-minute donations, unexpectedly and happily exceeded their fundraising goal for this year!

Good Cause

Thank you so much to everyone who donated and shared our fundraising posts, we’re really grateful for all the generous support!

It was another fabulous event this year; with refreshments, doggy obstacle courses, paddling pools for hot pooches, games, and of course a good 5K walk, (or run for those more inclined) it definitely was fun for the whole family, and all in support of a great cause.

Community Outreach

Thanks to all at PAWS for putting on such a great event, and for all the work they do helping support less advantaged members in the community to keep their pets with subsidized pet care and food; and taking in homeless or abandoned pups and kitties in the Illinois area and beyond.
(Like a few cute pups who were there from the shelter to hopefully find new homes too!)

Looking Forward

Thank you again to everyone who supported and encouraged Rose’s team; they’re looking forward to next year’s event when personally, Rose hopes to run the course with a four-legged running companion!

Check out the team page for the PAWS 5K “Walk/Run for Their Lives” for more details!

Some colourful participants this year!
Some cute, adoptable pups also in attendance!
Halfway there!
Lots to do for the whole family!
An array of cool characters made the 5K, including this lucky dog in his Mum's sidecar!
