DDA celebrated “Guy Fawkes Day”, (盖伊?福克斯) with a party for close friends and DDA supporters.

?The traditional British festival, held every 5th November since the year 1606, when Guy Fawkes and
his collaborators attempted to blow up the British Houses of Parliament.
The historical event, has now become a traditional British family festival, also known as Fireworks Night
or Bonfire Night, and is traditionally a time when households get together, hold parties, light bonfires,
set off fireworks, play games and generally have a fun family time.
This year DDA celebrated the festival with DDA Chief Art Director Mr. Xu Zhi Wen and his wife, renowned
actor Mr. Yang Yi Xiao, Kunqu artiste Ms. Cao Hui, Calligrapher Ms. Wang Xiu Hua, old DDA friend and
supporter, Mr. Wang Jian Jun, retired vice-director of the Shanghai Seismology Centre, friends Mr. Cao
Jian Hua and Mr. Sun, plus DDA director Rose Oliver and Master Wang Ming Bo.
The evening was great fun, culminating in blowing out the symbolic “fireworks”, of the date 5th November
in candle form!?
It was the first time the guests had heard of the traditional British festival and a fun time was had by all, at
the Shun Feng Chang Shou Restaurant! (顺凤大酒店长寿店，西康路1089号。)
