I’m very grateful and glad to have had the opportunity to visit Shanghai American School.
The school campus was full of trees and flowers, which made me feel warm and comfortable.
There was a teacher named Tom waiting for us in the library. He was kind and warm-hearted. He showed us around the library and introduced a score of children. Despite the fact that these kids came from different countries, they had one thing in common— Lovability. Natalyn and Julia helped me sign into the “Librarything” (the online chat forum to discuss books we’re reading) and read English novels for me.
When I was confused by a new word, they stopped immediately and patiently showed some funny body language again and again just to make sure I fully got it.
Two hours was absolutely a short period. We laughed and chatted together. Although a photo was taken in memory of the happy hours we shared, I truly wished that I could meet them in the days to come.
