Shanghai Culture & Education: DDA & The Alliance for Global Education TCM Lecture

During this activity, I experienced the enthusiasm for learning about Chinese culture from the American exchange students. They conveyed their thoughts carefully or cracked jokes with Dr. Li, instead of listening to a lecture passively as Chinese students often do. This teaching method is more like chatting; everyone is involved, I was so proud that they could learn about Chinese culture with such joy.
?

When I spoke with them, I tried to use Chinese, because I believe this is what they need in China. I felt real happiness from my heart while helping? them, it was really a wonderful experience.????

As a sophomore student in Shanghai University, I felt really honoured to be a member of this activity held by my teacher Rose and DDA.
Words cannot express my feelings about this event. Not only because of learning about Chinese medicine and tuina, or because of the communication style of the American students, but I was deeply touched by what Rose has done, especially in the current trend of decreasing interest in or loss of Chinese culture.
??

Although we are born as Chinese descendants, we don’t know how to protect many of our grand cultural heritages, we should take responsibility for our offspring. Therefore I really hope these activities can blossom everywhere and more and more people can enjoy the aroma of Chinese culture.
?

There are many benefits for me in joining this activity. It helped me to know myself better, to have a better understanding of Chinese culture and learn more about foreign customs and culture in such a good way.
???

I’d like to have the opportunity to support this type of activity always!
