The Folk Arts Exposition houses many artifacts and exhibits from the 2010 Shanghai Expo’s pavilions, including the African, Nepalese, Middle East, European, Latin American and Chinese Pavilions, as well as exhibits of Mr. Xu Zhi Wen’s traditional Chinese paintings and other artists’ artwork.

Set within the grounds of the newly constructed Gucun Park, the Exposition Hall is a non-profit cultural facility, open to the public and designed to become a showpiece of Baoshan District, featuring and preserving global cultural heritage.

The different exhibition halls contain many interactive exhibits, ranging from dancing with Elvis Presley, riding bucking-bronco bulls, competing in the Salsa with a virtual Cuban dancing girl and meeting with wild animals of the African Savannah.

We spent a fantastic afternoon trying out the exhibits and looking at the beautiful artwork from around the world, finishing with a tour of Mr. Xu’s wonderful paintings.
