Rose Oliver will be appearing on the programme “Da Sheng Shuo” on Sunday 28th March at 21:30pm. The TV channel is called:?艺术人文频道 –大声说.
Rose Oliver recently appeared on the Shanghai’s Art & Culture TV Station Chat Show “大声说”, which is a humourous chat show, discussing many everyday social topics, relevant to local citizens, as well as people in general.
The show’s format has two teams “competing” with each other over a particular contentious topic, with the emphasis on humour rather than serious political type debate.
Rose took part in the programme concerning a “hot topic in Shanghai”, of whether or not it is “cultured” to go out in public wearing pyjamas; (which is an old custom or fashion statement among Shanghai residents), especially in view of the forthcoming EXPO 2010.
The show was great fun and although the “contestants” took the opportunity to keep the debate light and fun, they also touched on some more serious social issues amid the humour.
The show, which is in Chinese, is broadcast every Sunday evening around 9pm; the above show will probably be broadcast after the Chinese Spring Festival.
