DDA’s Rose Oliver attended the third “CBT Free-Break Streetdance Competition” organized and sponsored by the Self-Expression Project, and event organizer Alex Bomb and his CBT crew.
Alex, who was a guest performer at DDA’s 2011 Masters Exhibition, invited Rose to see the competition and watch while the mixture of young Chinese and international residents followed their dreams, enjoying their mutual love of dance and music.
The enthusiastic crowd of around 100 competitors and audience members cheered on friends and rival groups alike, as they strutted their ‘house’ stuff, breaking, popping and locking to a mix of music and live performances.
It was great to see young people having a great time doing something constructive and positive together; there was a wonderful atmosphere, friendly and fun; well done to all the girl & boy competitors, winners and losers!
Thanks to Alex for his invitation, it was a great event, and we look forward to attending the next one!
