Double Dragon Alliance welcomes you to take part in our sixth “Shanghai Camp”; visit some of the area’s
most scenic spots, study with high-level martial arts masters and experts in Chinese arts and culture, make
new friends and experience traditional Chinese culture and hospitality firsthand.

This year, the 9-day workshop will be held in Shanghai and Nanxun, a beautiful, scenic area and one of
China’s famed water towns.?Our event will give participants a chance to sample traditional Chinese food
and culture, including, Calligraphy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tuina massage, as well as train with
some of Shanghai’s finest martial artists and health practitioners.Classes will include Yang Style, Chen Style,
Wu Style, Taiji Quan, Qigong, Tong Bei Quan, Push Hands and San Shou, among others.The emphasis will
again be on internal training, deepening practitioners’ knowledge, working on how to “use” the form and
on enhancing one’s health and longevity, rather than on learning new forms.?

There will also be classes and introductions to traditional Chinese health therapies, such as Tuina (acupressure
massage), calligraphy and Chinese painting.?Early booking is recommended, as there is a maximum of 20
participants at this year’s camp.

Day 1. 23 November ?In the morning, there will be Qigong practice, followed by a sightseeing trip to the
Botanical Gardens and/or old French Concession, stroll along the Bund waterfront overlooking the Yellow River
and Pudong, plus visit the colourful Xin Tian Di.?

Day 2. 24 November ?Early morning training with Master Shou Guan Shun in Yang Style Taiji, basic foundation
exercises and Push Hands practice.?After lunch and in the afternoon, internal training and form work. In the evening,
we will have an interactive TCM Tuina class with Dr Li Yong, where participants will have an opportunity to experience
and learn some Tuina massage and try out the massage techniques themselves.?

Day 3. 25 November ?In the early morning we will have qigong and basic training exercises in the park.
After breakfast, full day training begins. In the evening, there will be lessons in push hands, application
techniques and/or Tuina.??

Day 4-5. 26 – 27 November? After breakfast, we will travel to Nanxun, famous for its waterways, old town and
ancient gardens, for 2 days of sightseeing and training in this picturesque environment. Training and classes will
continue throughout the trip, interlaced with sightseeing and walks around?this famous area steeped in Chinese folklore.
?Return to Shanghai on the evening of 27th November.?

Day 6-8. 28 – 30 November? Early morning training in the park, followed by full day training. In the evenings there will
be lectures and classes by guest instructors in push hands, sparring and applications, qigong and tuina massage.??

Day 9. 1 December In the morning there will be a demonstration by the camp masters and special guests from among
Shanghai’s leading martial artists, plus an interactive push hands seminar and workshop. Following, there’ll be a banquet
lunch, where everyone will have a chance to meet the masters informally and ask some final questions. Afterwards, there
will be a closing ceremony and group photographs, where participants will be presented with their camp certificates.?

The fees are: 15,000Rmb, or ?1500, ?1850 or US$2400.?
For participants returning from previous camps there is a discount fee of: 13,500Rmb, ?1,350, ?1650 or US$2150. ?

This includes all training, accommodation, meals, transportation and trips for the 9-day event. Participants are responsible
for hotel fees for the evening of 22nd November and 1st December. ?(We will arrange a special shuttle collection from Pudong
International airport, for guests arriving on 22nd & 23rd November for an additional fee of 200Rmb) ?Participants should
purchase their own visas and airplane tickets to and from Shanghai.?

A non-refundable deposit of ?250, ?300 or US$400 is payable by 31st August 2013.?
Final payment for the camp is due by 1st October 2013. Cheques or money orders should be made payable to ROSALIND

Participants bringing 5 or more students/friends will receive a discount of 25% off their own fee. Participants bringing 10
or more students/friends will receive their own place at camp free.

Cancellations before 1st October 2013 will receive a refund?of all funds, minus their deposit.If, due to unforeseen
circumstances, the event is cancelled, participants will receive a full?refund of all monies paid.
Cost for accompanying spouses and friends who are not training: 10,000Rmb, ?1,000, ?1215 or US$1590.

You should overestimate your stay in China by an additional 2-4 weeks; so make sure you have at least six months left on
your passport.

Weather in Shanghai at this time of year is not usually cold, but there can be rain, so it’s best to bring some warm clothes
and an extra pair of shoes.
?
Accommodation is based on two people sharing a standard twin room. ?Participants should indicate on their registration
form, whom they wish to share with, or we can allocate guests to share accommodation. There is a single room supplement
of ?55 for those wanting a private room.
