Renowned Shanghai artist, Mr. Xu Zhi Wen, who’s also DDA’s chief art director, held a small, private group symposium and book signing at the Shanghai Library.
At the invitation only event, special guests Mr. Zhang Guo Xing, who is CEO of one of Shanghai’s major auto manufacturers and a keen art collector, plus DDA’s Rose Oliver, were also invited to say a few words about Mr. Xu’s works, and describe their own feelings about the nature of his blended East-West artistry.
The event ended with a special commemorative book signing; and then later, special guests joined a banquet dinner, with some of the guests sharing their own specialties, including several Peking Opera songs, and a comic turn by Mr. Gao Long Hai.
