The event was organized by Master Zhu Yu Cheng, grandson of Master Zhu Gui Ting.
The annual meeting is attended by the Yang Style generation holders who are descendants of Yang Cheng Fu’s 5 famous top students in Shanghai.

Yang Cheng Fu’s 5 disciples were the main lineage holders and teachers of Yang Style Taiji in Shanghai and most students learning Yang Style Taiji here today will be studying from one of the descendants or through their lineage.

Plus many other great masters, teachers, representatives from the Wushu Federation in Shanghai and representatives from the martial arts community in Shanghai.

The group meets yearly to maintain relationships, discuss events and catch up with what’s happening in the Wushu world, in particular Yang Style Taiji.
Master Zhu Yu Cheng, who recently performed Hsing-Yi Quan at the Double Dragon Alliance Masters’ Exhibition in November 2007 and at Master George Xu’s December 2007 event, invited Rose Oliver and Master Wang Ming Bo to join them at this year’s event.

It was a tremendous honour to be invited and a rare chance to meet some of the famous names in Taiji.
The atmosphere was both friendly and informal and was a great opportunity to be a part of a wonderful tradition.
Sitting with the masters was a very special experience and listening to the stories about the past and their discussions of Taiji “secrets” and training methods was an opportunity not often attained in normal lessons.
